Membership

Membership is open to aspiring and professionally published and/or produced writers, illustrators, editors, art directors, agents, and other adults with an active interest in children's literature or media.
SCBWI is now offering three different tiers of membership, the highest level, PAL, is for members who are professionally published (or produced) and listed on SCBWI's master list of publishers. This list excludes self-published books, vanity presses, subsidy presses, and pint on demand publications. New members and members coming up for renewal will be asked to submit publication information and only those who qualify will be issued PAL membership. PAL members will be eligible to recieve certain PAL membership privileges, including but not limited to listing on the SCBWI speakers' bureau, displaying, selling, and signing books at SCBWI events and booths, and admission to certain professional tracks at conferences and retreats.

*Current membership dues for the first year is $75.00.
*Currently, memberships can be renewed for $60.00.
