SCBWI Arizona Featured Writer

Rhody Cohon

cache/wst.opf.2335770.xml

Rhody Cohon (with her writing partner Stacia Deutsch) is the co-author of the
BLAST TO THE PAST Series, IN THE STARS, HOT PURSUIT, DRAGONBALL THE MOVE, THE SMURFS MOVIE NOVELIZATION and other books. She has been a member of SCBWI since 1999.

Cohon's background in Electrical and Computer Engineering comes in handy with amazing frequency when she is writing, especially when her computer freezes, her website needs updating, her printer won’t respond and she needs to do research, her plot-line is veering off-course, or an e-book needs formatting.  It is remarkable how well her passion for computers, numbers, logic, and technology has helped form her as a writer and a person. Cohon's used to teach math at a local community college. Now, in addition to writing, she teaches writing helps other authors bring their writing into the world as an e-book. Cohon has been a member of SCBWI since 1999.

"Here’s to looking at the world not as a half-full cup, not as a half-empty cup, but as an engineer who thinks we just need a different size cup."
-Rohdy Cohon
